The brake consists of the brake lining, disc pad, and clutch facing in automobiles, industrial machinery, agricultural machinery, and trains. There are two kinds of materials used to make a brake friction material; one is the inorganic friction materials including ceramic and carbon composites, and the other is the organic ones including phenol and other organic chemicals.
